Such a fine selection of fresh fruit, veg and smallgoods! Presented so attractively and professionally...And the bread is excellent, fresh and full of flavour. The meats and sausages are top quality, and I love the selection of cheeses! Always a treat to shop at Hill Street!
Great little supermarket. Prices may be up on the other 2 major stores, but products are just that little bit better
The energy of the store is electric everytime I visit. The staff is lovely, always looking to lend a hand. Items on shelves look well presented, the detail in making a grocery store visually fluid is an artform that I love! To the staff at the meat/butcher counter, I do apologize if I cause any trouble when I stand by the meats, I often marvle at how beautiful it all looks. The meat slices are cut evenly, as if the blade is sharpened before every slice. I have rambled on, I could share like this on all parts of the store in equal gratitude but Ill end. Brilliant collection of daily groceries or even last minute entertaining req’s. Great staff, clean premises, easy access and a great deli section that has small goods on hand worth trying.
We enjoyed the whole roasted chicken and other staples. Very convenient and great service. We were staying in Blackmans Bay for several days at the most incredible vacation rental, right on the coastline!
I LOVE Hill Street Grocers! But, as a life-long Channel resident who has watched the desecration of our beloved waterways as a result of the abhorrent practice of salmon farming, I cannot continue to shop here unless they agree to quit stocking this product PRONTO!! Do the right thing for Tassie guys!
Great little supermarket, the staff are always happy to help and very friendly. It's my local so we go here almost everyday and I've never had an unpleasant experience. Highly recommend
